MCERTS certification awarded to Sonitus Systems’ air quality monitor

DM30 Dustsens | Monitoring Certification

The UK Environment Agency’s Monitoring Certification Scheme for indicative ambient air monitors has awarded MCERTS approval to Ireland-based global environmental monitoring company, Sonitus Systems, for its air quality monitor product DM30 Dustsens.

Founded in 2007 to help engineering teams automate environmental monitoring tasks, Sonitus Systems has since grown to be one of the leading global suppliers of construction and industrial monitoring instrumentation in the market. Through an expanding network of global distributors, Sonitus Systems’ products are currently in use on over 4,000 construction, heavy industry and smart cities projects across the world.

Speaking about the company’s most recent achievement, Managing Director Paul McDonald shared:

“Our vision has always been to create better environments for people to live and work. We build high quality, reliable products and back them up with excellent, trustworthy service. This MCERTS certification is further validation of the innovation of our team and the technical robustness of our products, which contributes to the success of Sonitus Systems globally.”

The MCERTS program is used to approve people, instruments and laboratories. The testing and the certification process independently verifies that indicative ambient air monitoring  instrumentation operates to a high standard. This certification of quality and accuracy allows environmental monitoring companies and the users of such products to take reliable and consistent readings, enabling compliance with local guidance, EPA and/or national regulations.

Sonitus Systems also underwent a manufacturing audit as part of the MCERTS certification process, which gives further assurance to customers and users of the device that the makers of the device are also operating to an approved standard.

A huge amount of R&D has been put into our product technology and our in-house testing systems. We are proud to help our customers protect people and their property by providing instrumentation they can trust, experts they can speak to, and information they can act on”, the Sonitus MD concludes.
